LinkPoint® Connect
The LinkPoint® Connect is a simplified solution for adding
e-commerce payment functionality to a merchant’s Web site. It gives
merchants fast and easy Web payments, complete with SSL (Secure
Sockets Layer) security and fraud protection measures. Merchants
need only develop an order form, copy and paste a few HTML tags and
they’re ready for business! LinkPoint® Connect comes with the
LinkPoint® Central service for comprehensive store management; i.e.,
customizing e-mails, managing fraud protection, viewing and
downloading reports, performing returns, or even manually entering
e-commerce transactions. It is an ideal product for the merchant who
has limited Web development expertise and resources. No secure Web
server is required to use the LinkPoint® Connect solution—all
sensitive payment data can be handled by the SSL-secured LinkPoint®
Connect payment service. The LinkPoint® Connect service processes
payments for any merchant Web site that requires basic payment
functionality.
How it Works
-
A customer visits an order form located on the merchants Web
server. The customer selects the item she wants to purchase and
clicks on the Pay Now button.
- The customer is transferred to a highly secure payment form
hosted on the LinkPoint® Secure Payment Gateway, where she enters
her billing and shipping information, credit card number and
expiration date. She clicks the Submit button.
- The order and payment information is sent via a secured
Internet connection to the LinkPoint® Secure Payment Gateway.
- The LinkPoint® Connect service transmits the order and
payment information to the credit card processing network
through a dedicated, secure lease line and receives a response.
- The customer reviews the LinkPoint® Connect receipt page,
confirming the details of her approved credit card transaction.
She clicks to continue.
- The LinkPoint® Connect service automatically sends her an
e-mail receipt for her purchase.
- The LinkPoint® Connect service posts all order and payment
information back to the merchant’s Web server.
- The customer is returned to an Order Confirmed page on the
merchant’s Web site that outlines the details of the order and
remind the customer that a receipt has been e-mailed.
- The merchant reviews her online orders by logging into the
LinkPoint® Central service (included with the LinkPoint® Connect
payment solution). She downloads transaction data to import into
her order management database..
